About Mr Olivier Branford
Mr Olivier Branford specialises in aesthetic surgery, breast surgery and reconstructive plastic surgery with a focus on creating natural results that complement and enhance. Mr Branford is a leading surgeon in his field, renowned for his outstanding results.
He graduated from Trinity College, University of Cambridge with a Masters of Arts in Natural Sciences and went on to continue his studies at Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine, followed by the University of London, which is where he received his PhD in tissue engineering in plastic surgery.
During this time he was awarded a Surgical Research Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He has published over 50 articles on improving safety and enhancing outcome after cosmetic surgery, and has written a number of book chapters.
Mr Branford’s plastic surgery training has taken place in major teaching hospitals in London, including Mount Vernon Hospital, The Royal Free Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, Charing Cross Hospital, St. Mary’s Hospital, and The Royal Marsden Hospital.
His specialist aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery training programme in London lasted over 6 years. After completing his training he was awarded the FRCS(Plast) by the Royal College of Surgeons, and was admitted to the GMC’s specialist register (Registration number 4528214). He has undertaken fellowships in breast, head and neck and limb microsurgical reconstruction. Mr Branford has also been involved in overseas work with the Royal College of Surgeons, which saw him teaching surgical skills in El Salvador, Central America.
Mr Branford has a highly impressive following on social media, and is one of the most followed consultants on all of the major channels, especially Instagram and Twitter. He uses these platforms to educate his followers on plastic surgery and the real effects it can offer patients.
He has performed breast and gynaecological reconstruction at The Royal Marsden, London and at Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead.
He has published extensively in the media and aesthetic literature on breast beauty and on how to achieve beautiful natural outcomes both in breast aesthetic surgery and in non-surgical facial rejuvenation. Mr Branford always aims to achieve a natural look by combining his artistic eye with his repertoire of techniques.
In 2019, Olivier Branford was awarded the Best Research Paper for 2018 from The Aesthetic Surgery Journal for his work on stem cells in cosmetic surgery.
He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery and is a scientific reviewer for the leading plastic and aesthetic surgery journals.
